Event tip: Experience creativity in the CORE Centre

Copyright: FSW/Romesh Phoenix

The CORE Centre not only is a place of encounter, learning and mutual support for refugees, but above all a place full of skills, competences and talents. The artistic, craft and culinary talents of the participants in the CORE Centre will be put into the spotlight at the beginning of the year as part of a neighborhood meeting. Under the motto "Experience Creativity at the CORE Centre", interested people have the opportunity to look behind the scenes and to find out what works have been created in the sewing and creative workshops in the CORE Centre in the last months and get to know the faces and stories behind them.

Twice a week, in the open creative workshop in the CORE Centre, experienced artists with training as well as autodidacts, talents or simply interested persons, who are just beginning to study art and painting, come together to express their ideas - whether painting, drawing, modeling or other techniques. In the sewing workshop interested and talented persons with refugee background and persons without refugee background bring in their ideas and their creativity while sewing, knitting, embroidery or crochet. The results of all this work are impressive and will be presented to the public at the event on 17 January 2019.

On this day, those who regularly cook in the CORE Centre, provide culinary delights. Visitors can thus also convince themselves of the culinary talents in the CORE Centre.
