The Municipal Department 17 - Integration and Diversity (MA 17) supports volunteer helpers with the series of events freiwillig:info through specific information and possibilities to exchange ideas in their commitment to refugee assistance and integration work.

The free-of-charge lectures convey basic knowledge about living environments of refugees and refugee work in Vienna. In addition, the competences of volunteers when handling trauma, multilingualism and much more are strengthened. The modules are aimed at people who are active at their own initiative in refugee assistance or are integrated in an organisation.

The supplement through the event freiwillig:dialog makes it possible for the participants to exchange information about their personal experiences in volunteer work and to network with others.
