Presentation OECD Study on the Integration Policy of European Cities

On November 14 a discussion with national and international experts will take place at the Vienna University of Economics and Business under the title "Wo Integration gelingt - Wiens Integrationspolitik im internationalen Vergleich".

What do cities do for the integration of migrants? What are the economic and labor market implications of migration? Where does integration work particularly well? How is Vienna's integration and diversity policy to be evaluated in an international context?

These and other questions will be the focus of an event at the Vienna University of Economics and Business on November 14, where the two OECD experts Claire Charbit, Head of Territorial Dialogues and Migration and Anna Piccinni, Policy Analyst, will be presenting the core results of their research project "Working Together for Local Integration of Migrants and Refugees". As part of the research project, the OECD analyzed integration policies and integration measures in ten European cities.

After a welcome by Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger, Rector of the Vienna University of Economis and Business, and Jürgen Czernohorszky, Executive City Councillor for Education, Integration, Youth and Personnel, as well as the presentation of the study results, Claire Charbit will be joined by the Viennese experts Petra Draxl (AMS Wien), Judith Kohlenberger (WU Wien), Herbert Langthaler (Asylkoordination Österreich), Christian Friesl (Industriellenvereinigung), Gernot Mitter (Wiener Arbeiterkammer) and a representative of the EU Commission to discuss the results and questions surrounding the topic of integration policy.
